Wedding Pianist in Kent
Kent provides me with a constant supply of work as a wedding pianist for which I am very grateful. Kent is the home to quite a number of castles and historic buildings. These venues include Westenhanger Castle, Hythe, the Archbishops Palace in Maidstone, the Guildhall, Sandwich, and St Augustines Priory, Ashford. In addition, there are also many golf clubs and luxury hotels dotted up and down the county that are also licensed for ceremonies. With all this choice there is no wonder that this region of England is very popular for weddings. One reason could be its proximity to London for all those couples trying to escape the big city.
My work now enables me to do a lot more traveling as a wedding pianist and besides Kent, I cover the entire UK.
As already mentioned, a lot of my work in Kent is as a wedding pianist. This involves being able to play music of many genres and styles. Just to clarify, weddings often require me to provide different styles of music for each part of the day. The styles I play include ragtime, jazz, swing, pop, rock, Latin, classical, and even singalong.
Pianists are often required to play classical music for wedding ceremonies especially in the Kent area. So, make sure that the pianist you hire is classically trained if you require this style of music.
Being a Sing-along Pianist in Kent
A very recent trend in Kent has been to hire me as a sing-along pianist for parties and weddings. This is something that is quite new and has quickly become something I love. This sort of thing is often associated with Cockney themed events, but more and more couples are making it a feature of their big day.
I travel all over as a wedding pianist, but here are the towns I cover in Kent:
- Royal Tunbridge Wells
- Herne Bay
- East Malling
- New Ash Green
- Paddock Wood
- Saint Mary’s Bay
